The CBI today filed a status report in the Bhanwari Devi case in the Rajasthan High Court at Jodhpur. The report was filed in a sealed envelope. The CBI also requested the Court to provide a DIG rank Police officer to assist it in searching Bhanwari Devi, missing since 1st September, this year. The Court gave this direction while hearing the habeas corpus petition filed by the husband of Bhanwari Devi, Amarchand. The next hearing in the matter will be on the 14th of this month.

Meanwhile, the CBI continued questioning former State Water Resources Minister Mahipal Maderna on the second day today. The investigating agency also called his wife Leela Maderna. In another development, CBI started questioning Congress MLA, Malkhan Singh Vishnoi in this case.
