New Delhi : Agriculture Secretary S K Pattanayak has said, Centre will take up the issue of protesting farmers with states as many of their issues are local in nature.

Speaking on the sidelines of an event in New Delhi yesterday, Mr Pattanayak said, so far, they have not received any representation from the protesting farmers’ bodies.

Farmers’ organisations like Bhartiya Kisan Union launched a 10-day agitation yesterday in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, to press their demands, including loan waiver and right price for crops.
