The General Secretary of CPI (M) Mr. Prakash Karat has said that his party would continue its alliance with the AIADMK for the coming assembly elections. Speaking to newsmen in Chennai after meeting the AIADMK General Secretary Ms. J. Jayalalithaa on Tuesday, he said that the decision on the alliance has been finalized. He said that he has extended an invitation to Ms.Jayalalithaa for joining the demonstration condemning price hike which is to be held at New Delhi on 9th February.

Ever since CPM parted with UPA on Civil nuclear deal, the Party has been continuing alliance with AIADMK since the last general elections. But for the last Assembly elections, it was an ally of the DMK.
