Jorhat : Along with the rest of the country in Jorhat too the Id-Ul-Fitre the festival of breaking the fast was celebrated centrally at Idgha at the bank of the historic Rajmoe Pukhuri by the people of the Muslim community from the district, while Imam Sabir Hussain read out the holy Kuran that gives the message of universal brotherhood among all community and religion held at Jorhat in early hours here today.

 

Hitendra Nath Goswami, the Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker cum Jorhat MLA also attended Id Ul-Fitre prayer meet at Lichubari Mosque and wished the occasion of Id-Ul -Fitre will strengthen the bond of unity and harmony.

 

Moreover Id-Ul-Fitre Namaj being organized  simultaneously at Melamati, Kakojan, Teok, Cinnamora, Lichubari, Tarajan and later whole district took a festive look wishing each and everyone .
