  • J&K: NIA makes second arrest in connection with 2016 Nagrota Army Camp terrorist attack case

    New Delhi : In Jammu and Kashmir, National Investigation Agency made a second arrest in connection with 2016 Nagrota Army Camp terrorist attack case. NIA officials said, the ultra, Tariq Ahmad Dar of Chillipora Zainapora area was involved in assisting Pakistani terrorists in carrying out the attack.

    They said Tariq Dar disclosed during interrogation that the attack was carried out by the Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammad group.

    Officials in NIA said his revelations corroborate disclosures made by the previously arrested accused Muneer-Ul- Hassan Qadri of north Kashmir’s Kupwara.

    Meanwhile, another attack was carried out by terrorists as they lobbed hand grenade on CRPF picket near Police Control Room from Magarmal Bagh side in the heart of Srinagar city late last evening.

    The grenade exploded outside the PCR. However, there was no immediate report of loss of life or injury in the incident. This was the third grenade attack at different locations in Srinagar city yesterday.

    Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit has claimed responsibility of two grenade attacks on security forces at Fateh Kadal and Badshah Chowk.
