The winter session of parliament will come to a close today, the session that witnessed the longest ever disruption for 21 days due to the Opposition’s adamant demand on JPC probe into the scams.
The opposition blocking transactions in support of its demand for a joint Parliamentary committee probe into three scams: 2G Spectrum allocation, Commonwealth Games and the cornering of flats meant for the survivors and families of Kargil conflict in Adarsh Housing society in Mumbai.
Today also happens to be the ninth anniversary of the attack on Parliament.
The confrontation between the two sides is likely to grow in the coming days and months with the opposition determined to carry its campaign on the JPC demand to the Budget session as well.
