Local BSP leader and businessman Deepak Bharadwaj was shot dead by two men in his farmhouse in south Delhi on Tuesday, police said.
The incident took place in the farmhouse ‘Nitish Kunj’ located in Vasant Kunj area at around 9:15 AM.
Two men came in a car and had a chat with 62-year-old Bharadwaj and after sometime they opened fire at him, a senior police official said.
He was rushed to Army’s Research and Referral Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
The post-mortem will be carried out in AIIMS, the official said.
Bharadwaj was into real estate business and had contested the 2009 Lok Sabha elections on a BSP ticket.
