  • Narendra Modi inducted into BJP’s Parliamentary Board

    Bhartiya Janata party president Rajnath Singh has announced his new parliamentary board and a new team of the party today.

    This time, the team inducted some new faces.

    After a gap of six years, party has re-inducted Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in the parliamentary board.

    Modi’s close associate Amit Shah, Pilibhit MP Varun Gandhi and Rajiv Pratap Rudy have been appointed as general secretaries of the party.

    Uma Bharti and Smriti Irani have been elevated as vice-president.

    The new BJP parliamentary board members:

    Rajnath Singh, former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, M Venkeya Naidu, Nitin Gadkari, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitely, Narendra Modi, Anant Kumar, Thawar Chand Gehlot and Ram Lal.

    Rajnath’s new team also comprises vice-presidents: C P Thakur, Jual Urao, Sadananda Gowda, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi,S S Ahluwalia, Balbir Punj, Satpal Malik, Prabhat Jha, Ms Uma Bharti, Ms Bijyo Chakravarti, Ms Lakxmikanta Chawla, Ms Kiran Maheshwari and Smriti Irani.

    BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that due representation has been given to women, youth and backward classes in the the new BJP team.

    Reacting on BJP’s new team, Congress Spokesperson Rashid Alvi said that it is BJP’s internal matter.

    Reacting on Narendra Modi induction in BJP Parliamentary Board, Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia said that it appears that Narendra Modi is the only face that BJP party has.
