  • National Education Day observed in Gossaigaon

    Kokrajhar: The National Education Day was observed by Gossaigaon B. Ed College, Gossaigaon marking the birth anniversary of first Education minister of Independent India Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

    The programme started Lighting of inaugural lamp followed by floral tribute.

    To create awareness among the students and to make them understand about the importance of this day a symposium event ( speech competition) on “Contribution of Maulana  Abul Kalam Azad to Indian Education” was organised among the students.

    Father David, Principal of St Antony’s High School Gossaigaon and Headmaster of Collegiate High School Ashok Mushahary attended the programme as guests and spoke on the contribution of the Maulana Azad in th foundation of education in independent India.

    Principal of B. Ed College Dr Ajit Boro in his welcome speech shared a brief history about the Maulana Azad. He said the education outlook of the great son of India was very strong. “It is very important to recall the contribution of the great man like Maulana Azad, he said adding that Maulana Azad has contributed a lot for establishing the foundation of education in India.

    A wall magazine was also inaugurated by the guests. The students also presented a colourful cultural programme. Mikaraj Brahma, Academic In-charge gave the introduction speech as well as vote of thanks.
