Kokrajhar: Noted writer, social worker and former president of Kokrajhar district Assam Sahitya Sabha Arun Borgoyary breathe his last today around 3.30 pm at his own residence situated at Hatimatha in Kokrajhar town.  He was 83 and leaves behind a son and a daughter. His wife died earlier in April last. Besides penning several books both in Assamese and Bodo, Borgoyary was a Sahitya pensioner and  life time member of Assam Sahitya Sabha. He was also said to be a close aid and friend of Music Maestro Xudhakantha Dr Bhupen Hazarika

Various individuals, organisation leaders have condolences the sad demise of the Borgoyry. ABSU president Dipen Boro said Borgoyary contribution in the field of culture and literature and social sector will always be remembered.
