  • The Foreign Secretary Mrs. Nirupama Rao today said that Indian Acting High Commissioner in Pakistan Mr.G.B. Srinivas was called by the Pakistan authorities.

    Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the function in New Delhi a short while ago, she said that the Indian High Commissioner was asked by the Pakistan authorities to share information on the reported involvement of some right wing activist in Samjota Express blast case.

    Mrs. Rao said that the Indian High Commissioner had conveyed this to her. In reply to a query, she said that External Affairs Ministry is in touch with the Home Ministry on the issue.

    On reported Chinese incursion in Ladakh region, the Foreign Secretary said that the transgression happened due to difference in perception. She however maintained there was no official report of any transgression.

    Mrs. Rao exphasised that the local authorities should take development activities with caution. She said that there is a need to deal with such situation with calm and maturity.
