  • PM Modi to launch projects worth Rs. 500 crores during his 2-day visit to Varanasi

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Varanasi from today.

    In the evening, Mr Modi will celebrate his 68th birthday with school children of his parliamentary constituency and

    will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various development projects worth 500 crore rupees tomorrow.

    AIR correspondent reports that many functions are being organised all over the city to mark Mr Modi’s birthday.

    Celebrations of Prime Minister’s 68th Birthday have already started in Varanasi.
    People are Cutting Cakes, singing birthday songs, performing Yagna in temples and party workers are busy in sanitation drive being carried out at 68 locations, including slum areas in the city.
    All major intersections across the city have been decorated beautifully and everyone is eagerly waiting for his parliamentarian who is first time coming here on his Birthday.

    Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has already reached Varanasi to welcome Prime Minister.
    Narendra Modi will reach around 5 pm Monday evening and will visit Naraur village of Rohaniya area where he will interact with children of a primary school.

    Narendra Modi will inaugurate a library there established with the help of NGO Room to Read.

    Later he will interact with students of Kashi Vidyapeeth and a group of 75 ragpicker children.
    To mark PMs birthday, many old prisoners will also be released from jails.

    Medical camps are setup at 68 locations across the district and 68 major spots will be illuminated with lamps on Monday evening.
