  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated various projects worth Rs 4,350 crore in Agartala

    Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Meghalaya and Tripura. Pm Modi’s visit to the northeastern states is considered very important amid tension with China. Prime Minister Narendra Modi first held a public meeting in Shillong and then held a roadshow in Agartala. After this, he also addressed a public meeting in Agartala.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Agartala Government Dental College, which has recently received the approval of the Dental Council of India. Addressing a public meeting at Vivekananda Maidan, PM Modi said that today Tripura has its own dental college, now anyone can become a doctor in Tripura itself. Addressing the rally, he said Tripura has emerged as the cleanest state in the country among smaller states. Apart from this, PM Modi said, ‘The first choice of the tribal community is the BJP. In the recent Gujarat elections, the BJP won 24 of the 27 seats reserved for tribal communities.

    We have given importance to issues related to tribal community. Addressing a public meeting in Agartala, PM Modi said, “The government is dedicated to improving the lives of tribal communities. The budget which used to be Rs 21,000 crore has now gone up to Rs 88,000 crore. It is the BJP government, which has launched an initiative to celebrate ‘Tribal Pride Day’ on November 15 every year. PM Modi praises Tripura for cleanliness “I congratulate the people of Tripura for making cleanliness a mass movement. With this, Tripura has emerged as the cleanest state in the category of smallest states “Today Tripura has got its first dental college. This will give the youth of Tripura an opportunity to become doctors here. Today, more than 2 lakh poor families of Tripura are entering their new pucca house.

    Apart from the dental college, PM Modi also inaugurated several projects. Prime Minister Modi also apologised for his late arrival and said he was blessed to be here in the state. Pm Modi further said that Tripura is now becoming the gateway to the international trade route to the Northeast and the rest of the country. Our focus is on all-round development of Tripura. He said that the projects launched today will give impetus to the development of the state. The Dental Medical Council had conducted inspections on December 12 and 13 and submitted a report to the country’s health ministry on December 14. The dental college will have 50 seats and will function under tripura central university, out of 50 seats, 15 per cent seats will be reserved for central pool, while 7/8 seats will go to northeastern states and left out seats will be reserved for students from Tripura.
