Government says that steps will be taken against those responsible in the Antrix-Devas controversy after the report of the high power committee probing the issue is received. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s office Mr. V.Narayansamy said there is no loss to the exchequer due to the annulment of the deal as no spectrum has been given either to Antrix or to Devas. He informed the House taking in view the national needs and changes in the allocation of spectrum, government directed to annul the deal. In response to another question he said that the private company has not been benefited from the agreement as satellite has not been launched. Hence the use of S-Band transponder capacity by the company did not arise.
