Kokrajhar : A Student’s rally in protest against the crimes and atrocities on women was taken out by the students and teachers of Girls’ College in Kokrajhar town today.

Over a hundred students and teachers with banner, placards, festoons participated in the rally which started from the College campus in Narabari area through the Kokrajhar town and back to the college.

The students and teachers expressed serious concern over the rising crime against women and children in the state including in Kokrajhar and demanded safety and security of women.

It is to be noted that a 17 years old girl was killed and body burned at Gendrabil area in Kokrajhar on October 26 last

They also demanded a ban on alcohol and drugs which having a bad impact in the society, especially the youths and is one of the prime reason over the rise in crime.
