Kokrajhar : In a joint operation by Kokrajhar Police and Army (12 Sikh Li) a cadre of National Democratic Front of Boroland –Songbijit) (NDFB-S) was apprehended from Bhawraguri village under Karigaon Out Post in Kokrajhar district.

Police said based on a specific input about movement of NDFB(S) cadres in Bhawraguri village under Karigaon Out Post, a Joint Operation by Kokrajhar Police and Army (12 Sikh Li)  was launched in the general area of the village in which the NDFB-S cadre was apprehended. He was identified as Jayanta Narzary alias N. Jawglang (Age: 24 years) of  No.1 Kusumbil (Soraibil) under Gossaigaon police station.

Police said the arrested rebel is a hardcore cadre of 42nd batch of NDFB(S) and infiltrated into Kokrajhar district during Nov/Dec, 2017 from Myanmar. He is involved in many activities in the last one year. Further investigation is going on.

One .22 Pistol, five rounds of .22 live ammunitions, one hand grenade, one mobile phone, one Bajaj Discover Bike and other incriminating materials were recovered from his possession. In this connection, a case has been registered at Kokrajhar Police Station vide No. 540/2018.
