    Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the tunnels built in Kargil region will pave way for the armed forces to reach the Indo-Pak border at a faster pace.

    Speaking at a programme “The Idea of New India” in Mumbai yesterday, Mr. Gadkari said a road is being constructed to reach Mansarovar and it will be inaugurated by January next year. He added that only 30 kilometres of work is pending to be completed to reach Mansarovar.

    Mr. Gadkari also said that from January next year a flight service will be started from Mumbai to Varanasi wherein the devotees upon reaching the temple town can go to Prayag through water transport.

    He also said that all goods exported to Nepal can also be transported through water transport. The Minister further said that annually 80 cruise ships arrive at the Mumbai coast and in next four years 950 cruise will travel Mumbai and it will boost trade and services sector in the metropolis.
