  • Twenty three children selected for bravery awards 2010

    Twenty three children have been selected for bravery awards for the year 2010. The awards will be presented to them at a special function in New Delhi. The awardees include 14 boys and nine girls. The prestigious Geeta Chopra award goes to 13 year old Jasmine of Kerala for her exemplary act of bravery. She saved two children from drowning. The Sanjay Chopra award has gone to Pratyush Joshi of Uttarakhand for saving her sister from a leopard. The awards were announced this afternoon in the national capital and will be presented ahead of the Republic Day celebrations. These children will be one of the main attractions at the Republic Day parade.
