A special CBI court in Delhi will announce on Tuesday the quantum of punishment against Rajya Sabha member Rashid Masood in a graft case.
The former Minister has been convicted by the court for fradulently selling the medical seats when he was a minister in the VP Singh Government in 1990.
If Masood is sentenced to two or more years imprisonment, he will be disqualified as a member of the Rajya Sabha.
He is the second MP after former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav who face the prospect of losing their membership following supreme court order. Lalu Yadav was convicted in Fodder Scam on Monday.
