The Centre today launched the e-government application store, appstore, to accelerate delivery of e-services.

It will be a National level common repository of productized allocations components that can be re used by various government agencies. Core and common applications that have high demand and are replicable across the central and state levels will be available on the store.

Launching the initiative in New Delhi this afternoon, Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal said, ensuring availability of certified applications following common standards at one place and speeding up the development and deployment are the main objective of the application.
