    Published on July 12, 2016

apHyderabad; Heavy rains would occur at isolated places of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 48 hours. The Met Department said, rain will occur under the influence of a fresh upper air cyclonic circulation over Odisha and its adjoining neighbourhood Jharkhand.
A trough from Madhya Pradesh to south Tamil Nadu across Telangana and Rayalaseema also persists.

The low pressure area and trough will bring light to moderate rain or thundershowers at many places in the coastal districts and at isolated places in Rayalaseema region.

AIR correspondent reports that the East Godavari District administration has alerted the entire official machinery to be on full alert to deal with impending flood to River Godavari and issued the first flood warning. River Godavari is in spate following heavy rains lashing North Telangana districts and Maharashtra for the last few days.

East Godavari District Collector H. Arun Kumar said in Kakinada that first flood warning was issued as the Godavari river level crossed 43 feet mark at Bhadrachalam in Khammam district of Telangana and the water level was rising rapidly following heavy flows of rain waters in the catchment areas of the River.

Officials were asked to take all steps to ensure safety of the people as low lying areas are likely to get inundated due to floods.
